Target Audience

The target audience I want to share my action research project results with includes academically struggling schools and curriculum writers.  The purpose of Power Standards is to teach inch wide, mile deep rather than the traditional mile wide, inch deep.  Power Standards also provide opportunity to teach supporting standards within the context of the identified Power Standards resulting in a deeper understanding of what is most important.   Schools that are struggling academically have educational gaps and continue to create more gaps by rushing through the curriculum in order to teach students to every concept in isolation.  By sharing my research and data with curriculum writers, they will be able to write a curriculum that has a narrower focus, and addresses the less important standards within the context of the most important ones.
